SABAN COMMUNITY CLINIC HONORS BELA BAJARIA, NETFLIX, CHIEF CONTENT OFFICER, AND RICHARD WEITZ, WME CO-CHAIR AT 47TH ANNUAL DINNER GALA

BEVERLY HILLS, CA - November 8, 2023 – Friends from the TV and music industry gathered to honor Chief Content Officer, Netflix, Bela Bajaria, and Co-Chairman, WME, Richard Weitz, for their philanthropic leadership in increasing equitable healthcare in the Los Angeles community. The annual dinner gala was hosted by comedian, Zarna Garg at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on November 6th, 2023, and raised funds to support Saban Community Clinic's healthcare services. The evening also included a musical performance from multi-platinum singer and songwriter, Andy Grammer.

During the event, Bajaria was awarded the Friends Leadership Award and shared her own experience as an immigrant watching her parents navigate the US healthcare system and relying on free clinics or generous friends for care. She emphasized the importance of everyone having access to care, regardless of their background, “One life is not more deserving of the other. That’s why Saban provides high-quality, compassionate care to everyone regardless of their circumstances. They provide everything from back-to-school physicals to orthodontics, behavioral health, primary care, and prescriptions which can be so hard to get without insurance. By supporting the Clinic, you are also giving parents peace of mind and kids the strong start that they deserve.”

Weitz, who received the Lenny Somberg Award, took the opportunity to encourage others to get involved and give back, “I see many rising stars and executives who don’t have a direct connection to the Clinic… yet. I encourage you if you have the privilege and luxury of sitting in one of these seats, get involved. We need others to help carry this important work forward. When the world is in crisis, and we feel helpless this is an opportunity for you to have impact right in your backyard. As I always say, ‘We’re not promised tomorrow. Life is not a dress rehearsal.’ So, take your money, time, family, privilege, and your voice and put it to good use.”
